NEW MEETING HOME

.

We are no longer at the Buckeye Grange. Meetings are now being held at 5481 Balls Ferry Road in Anderson (just west of McGee’s Corner). Call 365-6570 for information.

.

Directions: From Redding go to third Anderson exit on I-5. Take Deschutes Road east 1.5 miles to Balls Ferry Road. You will turn right at McGee’s Corner onto Balls Ferry Road and go to the 6th house on left. Look for a tall white house with pine trees, rope fence and white bird. Park tightly on the lawn or in the driveway so others can pull in. Come through the side gate to the door on right of house. Enter the door on the left. This goes into hallway and on to the family room.

FUNDRAISERS

A   YARD SALE   and   A ONE MAN PLAY

.

.

ONE MAN PLAY

Past Member Gary Anderson has offered to help us do a fund raiser by presenting his two "one man plays"' Anderson depicts Clarence Darrow in one play and in a second play, he is William Jennings Bryan.  Local groups are getting involved to help us bring him to town; we are looking at People of Progress (POP) and a legal group to assist us in organizing the event.

YARD SALE

We are holding a yard sale later in the Spring.  Save your used treasures for then. We need a coordinator - any volunteers??

MEMBER INFORMATION

WHEN our Bylaws are changed to one set of Officers, we will have:

President - Den Corrin

Secretary - Linda Schreiber

Treasurer - Maggi Milton

The Vice President position change requires an executive decision.  When Ron Varain resigned as Chairperson, he kept his position as Vice-President on the Executive Board.  Overlapping the two levels is the the position of  Vice-President.  Steve Maupin is currently in the other position of Vice President.  We must resolve the issue of who will hold this position when we go under the new Bylaws.

We are currently planning to put the new Bylaws into effect this Spring Season.

MEMBERSHIP
.
Ours is a group which works by concensus, not from the top down, but between us all.  We work out what we do.  That means that each of us is responsible for the business we do, the outreach we do, and our interactions with each other.  So, if you see something that needs to be done, do it.  We are a small group that is well known in the community - we had our 50th Anniversary two years ago.  It is not just our Seven Principles that encourage and maintain this tradition.  It is the people who use these principles, and our organization that enables us.  We have a lot to be proud of.
.
If you need more information about membership, please contact  Linda Schreiber, at 530-365-6570.
.
You do not have to be a member to attend our meetings, but you must be an active member in order to vote.
