SUNDAY SERVICES CALENDAR

10:30 a.m. to noon

September 12 - Welcome Back, Speaker, Linda Schreiber

.

September 19 -    "Sharing Sunday"  Bring something you want to share.  This is also our "potluck Sunday".

.

September 26 -   "Mapping our Spiritual Growth - Examining our Past", Speaker, Patty Burrell

Each attendee is invited to plan in advance for a discussion about how each of us has grown at our spiritual center during our lifetime. We ask that you "draw" a map on any sheet of paper, putting in "ah-haa" moments, rivers, streams, mountains, valleys. deserts, reflecting pools - whatever you feel like drawing.  Do this in advance of the meeting on September 26 and decide what you would like to share with the group.  It is not necessary to share all or even a portion of your map - it is simply a learning tool for you to experience.

.

October 3 -        What Will We Do With Our Bodies: Our Exit Wishes?, Speaker, Den Corrin

Den will be inviting our members to share what they might want to happen for late life and when passing on

There will be a questionairre circulated prior to the meeting so that attendees might be thinking about the issues to  be discussed.  If you need a questionairre and have not received it by five days prior to the program, please call 227-1484.  The questionairre can be either emailed to you or sent by regular mail.

MEMBERSHIP
Ours is a group which works by concensus, not from the top down, but between us all.  We work out what we do.  That means that each of us is responsible for the business we do, the outreach we do, and our interactions with each other.  So, if you see something that needs to be done, do it.  We are a small group that is well known in the community - we celebrated our 50th Anniversary in 2008.  It is not just our Seven Principles that encourage and maintain this tradition.  It is the people who use these principles, and our organization that enables us.  We have a lot to be proud of.
.
If you need more information about membership, please contact  Linda at 221-7222
.
You do not have to be a member to attend our meetings, but you must be an active member in order to vote.  Active membership is described in our By Laws.  For a copy of the By Laws, call Linda at 221-7222

Points North Group

If you live in the north end of our Redding regional area and want to attend a Thursday Fellowship in Shasta Lake City, we offer Conversation, Crafts, Friendship, and Support .  One of our goals is to promote Lifetime Learning.  This is a small group and will never exceed ten persons - when we reach ten persons, we will break off into two groups. At 12 noon, we will have tea, coffee, soup and bread.  If you need a larger meal, feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.  We meet in Pat's home in Shasta Lake at 10:30 A.M. on Thursdays.

We are currently actively seeking new members.  Join us for Fellowship!

A brochure describing this group is available. Call to hear the topic for our next meeting
