PROGRAM GOALS Ongoing Life Span Education Program. . A UU learning
program is for all ages and is a lifelong endeavor. Adults are encouraged to participate in this year's goal of approaching
Life and Living according to the Seven Principles of Unitarian Universalism. . . Currently, we are exploring how we are living according
the the UU covenant, and how we can continue to improve our selves. . . We continue to "explore" a variety
of religious beliefs and encourage Living Consciously and in Harmony with the Universe. . . If you cannot attend our
Fellowship meetings, you might want to consider looking into the Church of the Larger Fellowship (CLF) -
go to UUA.ORG to learn more about the CLF . ..CLF offers free programs for those who
want to explore Unitarian-Universalism. For those ready to delve even further into liberal education, CLF has ongoing
programs which are available, usually requiring a $40. fee, after registraion as a CLF member. CLF is self-supporting,
with about 3000 members worldwide; members are encouraged to make a pledge donation, either annual or monthly. . . . . ≈
2008 - 2009, Our Fellowship Year
Becoming Better Unitarians and Better Citizens Our Goal is to become better Unitarians and better Persons in the process.
As a member of our congregation, Dick Allen, put it (adapted loosely from his words in When You Come to a Fork in
the Road), "Our mission is ... to form newer and larger circles as we travel down our roads not taken before... Be
joyful. Make connections. Help others make connections. To the Glory of Life." And, again, from
Dick Allen: "realize that we need to be fulfilled individuals... we need to transcend our individualities and become,
in our spirits, integral parts of something thatis greater. That greater thing, social circle or society or culture
or cosmos, will live and still contain what we did after our individual lives have ended. ... we would be able to walk
with grace." (Sermons, Richard L. Allen, 2001)

Words and Music by Carolyn Dade, 1981 copyright . . . EMERGENCY FOOD Collecting food and other household-type donations every Sunday morning is year-round activity.
If you plan to attend, and if you can afford to do so, please bring one of the items listed here. The donations are
delivered weekly to local food pantries. Any non-perishable food is acceptable but it must be new and in unopened cans
or boxes. Canned vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, pasta and pasta sauce, cereal and canned meats are typical donations.
Cereal and protein foods are very important. Non-food items such as soap, dish washing and clothes washing detergents,
paper towels, toilet paper, towels, wash cloths and socks are always "premium" items. We also collect clothing
from time to time, to be donated to local charities.
